MTV SHOULD BE STOPPED

我是2009年11月21日下午12:45左右在噗上看到一則留言，然後馬上跑到FB看過究竟。這是關於MTV想將"King of Pop"的美譽從Michael Jackson身上取走，再冠名給Robbie Williams。我無意冒犯Robbie Williams，但是要將他跟Michael Jackson相比下去，就像是要拿一個成年人和孩童的成績作比較，沒意思，又無謂。

昨天，一看這個留言便飛奔到噗上，希望盡快讓愛他的人知道，直至現在才有時間在這裡整理。

首先要先讓大家弄清楚，"King of Pop"這個非正式的美譽是MJ的好友Elizabeth Taylor在1989年的一個音樂頒獎禮頒獎給MJ時由衷的讚許而冠名。這不是一個正式的名銜，但從那一刻開始，全世界都都接受了。有片為證：




Michael Jackson是創立音樂加上影像，將歌曲的意境立體地展現在觀眾眼前，這就是眾所周知的MTV。沒有Michael Jackson，何來有MTV。中國人有句說話：「飲水思源」。所以MTV有這個想法，既不合情，更不合理。憑什麼理據叫人信服？

我不能代表什麼，但是一個肯定的事實，Michael Jackson永遠都是King of Pop。他顯赫的專銜，無人可替。

外國的粉絲在網上已發起名為 STOP MTV FROM TAKING THE KING OF POP TITLE FROM MICHAEL JACKSON  簽名運動反對MTV，簽署數字到目前已接近4600個，距離目標5000個，尚欠一少步。

我知道從昨晚，消息一出，已有不少粉絲簽署了，非常感謝大家支持。

Dear Fans,


Sorry that I cannot translate my every article in English.   For this one, I would like to tell everyone who loves Michael Jackson about the news of MTV, which wants to “Taking the ‘King of Pop’ title from Michael Jackson”.   For me, that’s ridiculous. Everyone knew that Michael Jackson translated his songs into music and images to make it visible. That is the formation of music video (MTV).   If no Michael Jackson, how can the MTV be formed.

Besides, the title of “King of Pop” was not given by MTV, it was given by Elizabeth Taylor at a music ceremony in year 1989 (you can refer to the attached video above).  This is an unofficial title, and the whole world accepted it at the moment.

Please clear your mind and be honest, and see how much that Michael Jackson contributed to the music, to the society and to the world.   I don’t want to talk that much, for more details, please go to “STOP MTV FROM TAKING THE KING OF POP TITLE FROM MICHAEL JACKSON”.
